So You Think It’s About Money

So, you think it's about money.

Or the dream house or vacation, the fancy car, yacht or whatever else money can buy. But is that really what you're after? Or is it a FEELING?

I was talking to my daughter Robin and she mentioned that her dream is to live in NYC. She has had that dream since she was about 10, as a result of a trip we took there. And she was awe struck! A FEELING that she would say is hard to explain. Robin likes life SIMPLE but exciting. She likes nice things, but doesn't put importance on that. She will say it's the FEELING that matters.

How you feel is everything! Some people get caught up in thinking they need money or things to feel good. We live in a society that teaches you are not really any body without it, whether on a conscious or subconscious level. We all need and are after the same basic feelings. To feel loved, appreciated, heard, that we matter, and that we make a difference somehow. We get in touch with these feelings through our dreams!

But DON'T wait until your dream comes true to have the feeling. Get into the feeling of having it NOW. Because you are who you are without money! And the bottom line is… You can be LOVED without money. You can be APPRECIATED without money. You can feel HEARD without money. You can feel that you MATTER and make a DIFFERENCE without money. Money is just a vehicle. Do we need it? YES! But getting it confused with our feelings and basic emotional needs spell failure. This is a major reason we DON'T realize our dreams!

So separate your feelings and dreams from money. Money will only give you things! Your dreams will validate the FEELINGS you desire. So go after your dreams, and money will follow!

The thing is that in order to have anything, including mo0ney the feeling has to come first. It is a Universal Law. The more often you feel like you have it the faster it will come your way. Children, adolescents and people who live life in the moment and without hangups of the stuff they have, have a very good platform on which to create. All they have to do is ask, believe that it will happen and envision how wonderful it is to live that dream. I love teenagers, if they only knew how powerful they are 🙂

This is very good yes FEELING & what I like to Call PASSION is so very, very important,,,I think just to Pursue $ for $’s sake will not work,,,as a Mentor of mine told me yesterday as I continue to explore my VALUES,,,,Money Must be tied to another Value…Like for me I wish to Start a Missions Foundation(Another long story for another Day:-)),,,,That will take MONEY & much more than I have so to realize my dream as my Mentor told me Tie It & The Money ‘TO a COMPELLING EMOTIONAL REASON'( or as you said so well here–FEELING) & that will Compel you to ACTION IF you keep it before you daily .

Thx Carol…this was good for what I am currently working through!

Your absolutely right Carol. Money alone will never make anyone truly happy. It’s the feeling we get from people we love, people we meet, friends, things we accomplish etc…

    Fantastic post!

You have brought up some very good points that it is NOT about the money at all. It’s about your feelings and the dreams you hold close. Those dreams are what fuels the fire of desire and creates the feelings of happiness and fulfillment.

    Great ideas,
    Val 🙂

It is not about the money for me. Its about FREEdom and being able to enjoy every dance recital, basketball game, etc. that Amiyah has. I realized that my dream has to be BIGGER than money or it won’t keep me going.

    I totally agree Carol.
Money is to be used to live our life not to life our live to get money.

Thanks for sharing this with us all.

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

What great insight. I agree with you 100%. It is amazing when I am teaching someone to write their goals and dreams and all they want to do is focus on money. We then do exercise, through questions, to get them into the feeling of it all and in the end…they are on fire and wanting to do the things for themselves and their families because that feeling burns deep inside.

    Thanks for the great post!

    Good post Carol.

I think we as a people think money is what we desire to get things and to feel good.

But like you mentioned we can have these feelings before the money actually arrives as well. Do not get me wrong, Money is not everything but we need it just like oxygen so it has some level of importance.

But who are you before the money is very key and important because that determines your level
    of personal wealth.

Great stuff Carol. It is not all about money. Our motivation should not be about money, but about giving back to life the love, the grace and the blessings that we have had as we grow! Thanks much
PS:Great to meet you here on your blog! Looking forward to a wonderful connection!
