Dirty Money?

It’s funny how a word or phrase can spark a certain belief that you have.

For Instance, I made a trip to the grocery store and went through the self
checkout. I paid cash and was suppose to get so much change back in coins.
Well, the machine did not spit out enough. When I mentioned it to the attendant
she immediately said, “Oh, it’s dirty money“. She explained that dirt on the money can clog up the machine.

But, what did those words say to your subconscious? What did you immediately
think to yourself when you heard those words? I’ll bet for some, it might have
sparked something like, “Rich people are greedy, or nasty and stuck up”. Or,
“Rich people got their money by doing someone dirty”.

Because of these kinds of beliefs about money, we can not invite more abundance
in our lives.

Listening to your self-talk will indeed reveal the beliefs that has been holding
you back for a lifetime. Beliefs that aren’t even ours! They came from parents,
siblings, teachers, friends, neighbors, relatives, you name them. And these beliefs
are connected to powerful emotions. Emotions that lead you around into situations
that validate that belief. So, what can you do?

First off, when you become aware of negative self-talk or limiting beliefs about
money and abundance, listen to the words you use and change them to positive
statements. For instance, instead of saying, “Rich people are greedy”, re-word
that to say something like, “Rich people do a lot of good with their money”.
Then, go find some examples of that on the internet. Check out people like
Oprah Winfrey and see all the good she has done with her money.

Also, releasing negative emotions and programming with the use of therapeutic
essential oils is very helpful. I use something called the Feelings Kit from Young Living.
It contains six essential oils that promote emotional and psychological balance and
well-being.

Incorporate doing some of these things and watch your world change!

Mine certainly has!

    Carol,
I like your discussion about our programs concerning money. This is still one huge area for me. Lots of programs I am working on.

Always great to get a reminder to keep moving forward around these beliefs.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Val
